1. Health and
Counseling Center
Western's Health and Counseling Center offers a wide array of services that keep students mentally and physically healthy throughout the school year. According to the mission statement, the center provides, "provide access to high quality, affordable...preventative health care, individual and group counseling, consulting, workshops and education."
Regardless of what health insurance a student may have before coming to Western, all students taking nine or more credits are required to pay for Western's health insurance. Students enrolled in fewer than nine credits have the option to purchase Western's health insurance as well.
Director of the Student Health Director and Counseling Center, Luis Rosa said "Our center is staffed by licensed physicians, physician assistants, counselors, medical assistants and experienced medical support personnel. Students are eligible for free physician visits and six free mental health counseling visits. Some of the other services we provide (are): physicals, lab testing, sexual health, women's health care, medications for mental disorders, nutritional counseling and much more,"
Insured students can access various immunizations, birth control, condoms, STI testing, women's health care, treatment of acute injury or illness and allergy injections.

2. Werner University Center
The Werner University Center (WUC) is where many events take place throughout the year. Jon Tucker, Director of the WUC, describes it as "the heart of campus," and Western's "living room."
One of the highlights of the WUC for students is the late-night social and programming center on campus, the Den. In the Den, students will find a place where they can get away from their studies, play pool or watch TV on the Den's big screen.
The WUC has a computer lab that is generally open until midnight throughout the week while classes are in session. The WUC also has many rooms that are available to student organizations and clubs for meetings and other events.
