"The conditions and the game were brutal."
Women's Rugby Team Captain Amanda Charlton
The players slogged through the under-maintained intramural fields as the mud got deeper and deeper with every passing play. Team captain Amanda Charlton, who did not play, said. "The conditions and the game were brutal." These are the games that make Rugby exciting. The players sloshed around, hitting each other and were cheered on by their friends and coaches on the sidelines. Despite the heroic effort put forth by the Wolves they lost the game 14-12. Holding each other up drenched and shivering the women left the field cold, tired and sore. The game is seen as a good warm up as the Wolves open their drive towards a chance at Nationals in April. •
